Paris Saint-Germain coach, Luis Enrique, stated on Monday that he will treat his team's match against English guests Newcastle in the Champions League on Tuesday as a final match. PSG is in Group F, where all four teams have a chance to qualify, and the French team hopes to take advantage of playing at home tomorrow in Paris.
Luis Enrique said during a press conference: "We will play the match at Parc des Princes, and I expect a wonderful atmosphere. We really need the fans, and the stadium should be filled with more excitement and encouragement than usual."
He added: "We will play this match as if it were a final. At this level, the home matches we play are key, and the fans represent a special advantage for us, and we expect amazing support."
PSG lost 4-1 when they faced Newcastle United away last October, and after the English Premier League team’s recent 4-1 victory over Chelsea last Saturday, Luis Enrique is preparing for another tough match.
He remarked: "They have physical strength and the ability to press hard. There will be a lot of pressure; if you watched their last game against Chelsea, the physical condition is still the same. We know this will be the case again tomorrow, and we must be ready."
PSG has won its last six domestic matches, topping the French league, but the coach still expects a lot from his team.
