Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated today that "the forces of the Russian private military group Wagner are moving near the eastern flank of NATO countries to destabilize them." Morawiecki said this after meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda in eastern Poland, adding, "We must recognize that provocative actions will increase." He continued, "The Wagner group is very dangerous and they are being moved to the eastern flank to destabilize it." Meanwhile, Nausėda pointed out that "the number of Wagner fighters in Belarus may exceed 4,000," adding, "We should not only talk about actions at the level of each country but also... what needs to be done if this situation becomes more complicated, including closing the borders with Belarus." He concluded, "This should be done in a coordinated manner between Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia."
