The media office of President Saad Hariri announced today, Wednesday, that "Hariri underwent a heart valve replacement surgery that was successfully completed in Paris, France." The office stated that "this medical procedure was pre-scheduled, and President Hariri will stay for a few days to rest in Paris before returning to his residence in Abu Dhabi."
Wiam Wahhab, the head of the "Arab Unity Movement," also wrote on his official Instagram account: "President Saad Hariri deserves only good. His heart has endured much treachery and betrayal, and he has not responded to people in kind. May God grant him health and return him safely to his family, and safely and successfully to Lebanon and his loved ones. Get well soon, Mr. President."
