Title: Sufficient Budget Allocation for Maintenance at the Airport and Roads

Public Works and Transport Minister Ali Hamieh stated in a remark via the "X" platform after participating in a session of the Finance and Budget Committee in the Parliament today that "the items concerning road and airport maintenance were the subject of discussion in the Finance and Budget Committee, during its review of the budget for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, emphasizing the need for sufficient allocations to carry out at least the minimum maintenance of roads to preserve lives and ensure public safety." He added, "There needs to be adequate funding for maintenance at the airport; is it reasonable that the allocated amount is only 3 billion L.L. for such a vital facility on all fronts, which has become a significant financial contributor to the public treasury amounting to over 200 million dollars annually?"
