The Kuwaiti newspaper "Al-Anbaa" indicated that there is anticipation for developments in the presidential file following the Eid al-Fitr holiday. This includes the return of ambassadors from the five-member group to take action according to a pre-established schedule of meetings with the leaders of major parliamentary blocs, including the "Strong Lebanon Bloc" affiliated with the "Free Patriotic Movement" and the "Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc" linked to "Hezbollah."
Sources reported that a short list of three names adopted by high-level Christian spiritual authorities has been narrowed down to two, although there remains the possibility of expanding the list and including additional names if a consensus is reached among the Lebanese factions. Among the two names currently being discussed, one has received the support of President Nabih Berri due to its acceptance from local and Vatican ecclesiastical authorities. It is worth noting that Berri considers agreement among the broadest segments a cornerstone for progressing towards a successful conclusion of the presidential file, according to "Al-Anbaa."
