Israeli Reconnaissance Flights Over Villages

Israeli Reconnaissance Flights Over Villages

Israeli reconnaissance aircraft have been flying continuously over the villages of the western and central sectors throughout the night and into the morning, reaching the outskirts of the city of Tyre. This coincided with the firing of illumination flares over the border villages adjacent to the Blue Line. The Israeli army escalated its violations last night in the villages and towns of the western and central sectors, launching airstrikes on a house in the town of Majdel Selm, resulting in one death and several injuries, in addition to severe damage to property and the electricity and water networks in the town. Its heavy artillery shelled the outskirts of the towns of Naqoura, Alama al-Shab, Tyrehfa, Al-Dhahira, Aita al-Shab, and Shihine, as well as Mount Labouna and the vicinity of the town of Naqoura. Meanwhile, UNIFIL forces stayed in their positions and sounded alarms multiple times during the Israeli bombardment of the area. Notably, the Israeli army has expanded the geographical scope of its attacks to surpass the southern banks of the Litani River, targeting southern villages and towns that had not previously experienced attacks since the beginning of the war. Additionally, reception centers for displaced people in Tyre are overcrowded, especially since some official school buildings are still designated for education.
