UN Envoy to Yemen Calls for Maximum Restraint

The United Nations Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, urged all parties involved in the developments in the country to exercise maximum restraint on Saturday, warning of increasing uncertainty regarding the situation in the region. He added in a statement: "I am deeply concerned about the increasingly unstable context in the region and its negative impact on efforts to achieve peace in Yemen, as well as stability and security in the region." The special envoy reiterated the Secretary-General's call for all parties involved to avoid any steps that could exacerbate the situation in Yemen.
