Russian Duma Website Available in Arabic

Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chairman of the Russian Duma, announced that the official website of the Duma (the lower house of parliament) will be available in Arabic. Volodin mentioned that the English version of the platform has been operational since September 2018, the Spanish version was activated in September 2023, and the Chinese website was launched last December. He stated, "The official website of the Duma will be available in Arabic. Arabic will become the fourth foreign working language on our site."

He added, "This has been achieved to make the Duma more open and to make its work accessible not only to our citizens who speak Russian but also to residents across different continents." Volodin emphasized, "This is being done to make the Duma more open and to ensure that its work is available not only to our citizens who know Russian but also to people from various continents. Furthermore, we are building very effective relationships with Latin America, which is why the Spanish version was released. We are also building relationships with China, which is a strategic partner, where over a billion people speak Chinese, hence we launched the website in Chinese. The Arabic language is also one of our priorities concerning Eastern and North African countries."
