The "Block of Loyalty" warned during its regular meeting, held in its central headquarters in the southern suburbs this afternoon, under the chairmanship of MP Mohammad Raad, about the tone of challenge in political discourse. It stated that "exaggeration regarding isolation or division is a flawed logic that does not allow for stability within any group nor the building of a society or a nation."
It continued: "While the bloc supports a natural candidate for the presidency, it expresses its conviction in this regard and urges others to announce their candidate, inviting them to serious and responsible dialogue, hoping to reach mutual understanding and agreement. Furthermore, although it possesses sufficient logical and objective arguments and evidence, it does not dismiss anyone's opinion in the country, nor does it accept the dismissal of its own opinion by anyone else."
The statement added: "As the Block of Loyalty continues its efforts and is keen on collaborating with all Lebanese to accomplish the presidential election as quickly as possible, and to engage with regional developments to capitalize on those aligned with Lebanon's needs and interests in the upcoming phase, contributing to the rebuilding of the state and its institutions, activating national solidarity, and enhancing its cohesion and capabilities, it sees that 'the fundamental step in finding solutions and exits in the country is national understanding that remains possible among the Lebanese political forces. This is necessary to curb impulsiveness on one hand and to put an end to frustration on the other, restoring balance and openness to political discourse, and its role in protecting coexistence and addressing disputes in an objective and realistic manner, away from mutual noise and challenge.'"
