Results of Economic Affairs Raids in the South

The Economic Affairs Directorate in the South, with the assistance of the State Security Office in Sidon, conducted a raid early in the morning on a refrigerated and frozen meat warehouse in the Sidon - Siniq area. They seized 251 kg of spoiled meat, some of which was expired and others not meeting storage conditions. It was found that they were defrosting Indian and Brazilian frozen meats to sell them to butcher shops. The seized goods were confiscated, and a violation report was issued. Following the instructions of the public prosecutor in the South, Judge Rahif Ramadan, the warehouse was closed with a red seal, the direct person in charge was arrested, and the seized products were destroyed at the Sidon landfill. In Tyre, a violation report was organized against a chicken slaughterhouse in Al-Bass, in collaboration with the health inspector of the Tyre municipality, for failing to meet hygiene standards and not adhering to general food safety regulations.
