Violent Explosions in Damascus.. Reports of Assassination of Iranian Figure - Video

Violent explosions hit the Syrian capital, Damascus, today, Wednesday, according to multiple sources. Syrian media reported that two people were killed and others injured in the shelling of Kafr Sousa in the capital. Sources indicated that "several explosion sounds were heard in the Kafr Sousa area on the southern outskirts of the Syrian capital, and columns of smoke were seen rising from the area." Initial information suggested that Israeli aircraft launched a number of missiles from over the Syrian Golan, trying to target some sites around the capital Damascus.

A new bombing targeted Kafr Sousa in central Damascus shortly before. It is known that the neighborhood contains the headquarters of many security agencies and was targeted in an Israeli attack in February 2023, which resulted in the deaths of Iranian military experts.

The Syrian Observatory reported that "the targeted building in Damascus is frequented by leaders from Hezbollah and the Revolutionary Guard," mentioning the "assassination of an unidentified figure in the Israeli raid on Kafr Sousa." Later, it noted that "the casualties in the shelling in Damascus are of non-Syrian nationalities, and the strikes are similar to the assassination of Al-Arouri in southern Lebanon."
