In a crime that shocked Malaysian society, an obsessed fan fatally stabbed a young Malaysian singer after she fulfilled his wish by meeting him for dinner at a restaurant.
Details reveal that a 44-year-old fan had been stalking 26-year-old singer Zhou Jialing for two years. He had invited her to dinner multiple times, and despite her constant rejections, she eventually agreed to meet him, fulfilling his wish.
However, after leaving the restaurant, a verbal altercation erupted between them, leading the man to stab her eight times in various parts of her back, heart, and chest, before transporting her body in his car to his residence.
After unsuccessfully trying to wake her up, the assailant harmed himself with the same weapon. When police arrived at the car following an emergency call from a resident, they found Zhou's lifeless body in the vehicle.
Despite attempting suicide, he failed and was taken to the hospital, where he was detained, continuing to claim that the singer was his girlfriend during his arrest.
The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) is still investigating the motive behind this tragic murder. It is noted that Zhou was preparing to marry her boyfriend, Lou Yang, in 2024; he wrote in her farewell, "I was lucky to have you in my life, and I cry thinking of our happy moments. My world is collapsing now."
