The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced today, Monday, that "the death penalty was carried out against one of the perpetrators in the Riyadh area." It explained in a statement: "Huda bint Al-Humaidi bin Hamoud Al-Mutairi, a Saudi citizen, committed the murder of her husband, Hasan bin Ayyash bin Marzooq Al-Mutairi, also a Saudi citizen, by stabbing him multiple times with a knife, resulting in his death and the theft of money from him."
The ministry stated: "By the grace of God, the security forces were able to arrest the aforementioned perpetrator, and the investigation with her resulted in charges being brought against her for committing her crime. Upon being referred to the competent court, a verdict was issued affirming the charges against her."
It noted that "the actions of the accused constitute a prohibited act, a grave crime and a disregard for human life, leading to the shedding of prohibited blood, and indicative of her corruption and danger, as well as the deep-rooted nature of her criminality. Given the heinousness of her act, she was sentenced to death as a deterrent punishment, and the ruling was upheld by its authority. A royal order was issued to implement what was prescribed by law."
