Emirates News Agency Participates in "Egypt Media Forum"

The Emirates News Agency "WAM" participated in the Egypt Media Forum under the slogan "A World Without Media," which kicked off its activities in Cairo last Sunday with the participation of a select group of media leaders, experts, and specialists from various countries around the world. During a discussion session titled "Media Institutions and the Public: The Technology Race," the Director General of Emirates News Agency "WAM," Mohammed Jalal Al Raisi, emphasized the importance of understanding the dynamics of public interaction with rapid technological developments, which determine the nature of usage and preferences. This understanding enables media institutions to better adapt to these developments in producing diverse content and meeting the informational needs of various segments of society. He pointed to "the leap that 'WAM' has achieved in this area, particularly in utilizing modern digital technology and artificial intelligence in media content creation to serve institutional goals and enhance news work." He explained that "the existing technology now and the rapid advancements we observe require our media institutions to hasten to be part of the future of media production, especially those media institutions or news agencies that still operate in a traditional manner, which does not align with fast-evolving technologies and highly intelligent software that intertwine the physical, virtual, and augmented worlds to enrich media practices and human experiences."
