American Network "ABC" reported on Monday that former President Donald Trump posted bail of $175 million to appeal a ruling against him for fraud. A New York appellate court had previously set April 15 for the trial concerning the fraudulent valuation of assets of the Trump Organization, having reduced the fine imposed on the former president from half a billion dollars to $175 million, giving him ten days to pay the amount. Trump stated via "Truth Social" regarding the court's decision that he would comply with the appellate court's ruling and pay the fine. Trump and his sons were previously found guilty of inflating the net worth of the Trump Organization over ten years by an estimated amount between $812 million and $2.2 billion to secure favorable loan terms, which led Judge Arthur Engoron in February to impose a fine of $454 million.
