Deputy Chairman of the General Labor Union Hassan Faqih pointed out that "various sectors will participate in the strike as part of a global strike campaign in support of Gaza. The union supports this decision because Lebanon is facing a joint aggression with Palestine and is not immune; it has also lost many martyrs, including civilian farmers and journalists." In an interview with the electronic newspaper "Al-Anbaa," Faqih highlighted that "the Israeli enemy is committing acts of genocide in Gaza, and it is scorched earth in both Gaza and Lebanon, disregarding the rules of war by killing children and civilians. Thus, every form of solidarity and pressure is needed, and the union has reached out to international labor unions to pressure Israel to stop the war."
