Nasser Khalifi, president of Paris Saint-Germain, has eased the hostility with Barcelona and its president Joan Laporta. The atmosphere has been tense between the two clubs since Neymar da Silva's transfer from Barcelona to Paris in the summer of 2017, and the tension worsened due to the Super League project. Attempts to calm the situation between Barcelona and Paris were disrupted during a formal dinner between the clubs before the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, due to Khalifi's absence to join Laporta in celebrating Eid al-Fitr. According to the French newspaper "L'Équipe," Khalifi decided to attend the joint lunch between the management of both clubs today, Tuesday, before the second leg of the Champions League in Catalonia. The Spanish newspaper noted that this gesture could help ease the tension slightly between the officials of both clubs. It is worth mentioning that the first leg at the "Parc des Princes" ended with Barcelona defeating Saint-Germain 3-2.
