Kuwait Issues Decree to Form New Government with 15 Ministers

Kuwait issued a decree today, Sunday, to form a new government comprising 15 ministers, headed by Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The new government includes Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and Ahmad Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

Issa Ahmad Mohammed Al-Kandari was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs. Dr. Saad Hamad Al-Barak serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, as well as Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs.

Fahad Ali Al-Sha’ala was appointed as Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Communications. Abdul Rahman Badah Al-Mutairi took charge of the Ministry of Information and the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs.

Dr. Ahmad Abdul Wahab Al-Awadhi received the Ministry of Health, while Dr. Amani Suleiman Bouqmaz assumed the Ministry of Public Works. The Ministry of Education went to Hamad Abdul Wahab Al-Adwani, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was assigned to Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

Mohammed Othman Al-Ibayan was appointed as Minister of Trade and Industry and Minister of State for Youth Affairs. Manaf Abdul Aziz Al-Hajri became the Minister of Finance. Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Istad was appointed as Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. Faleh Abdul Allah Al-Raqba took office as Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Housing Affairs, and Firas Saud Al-Malik Al-Sabah was appointed as Minister of Social Affairs and Minister of Family and Childhood Affairs.
