Several customers in Greater Cairo were surprised to find that the service was down and that no network was appearing on their mobile phones. This morning, many users took to social media to express their complaints about the absence of Vodafone network service and their inability to make calls. Some users suggested changing their Vodafone network from 4G to 3G to restore normal voice services, which may indicate a problem with 4G coverage affecting mobile internet services and high-quality voice calls reliant on 4G (VoLTE). Sources within Vodafone Egypt stated that there are ongoing network updates that may take several hours to complete.
