The assembly of families of the martyrs, wounded, and affected by the Beirut Port explosion stated that "Judge Habib Rizkallah has remained silent for a long time and has now spoken unjustly." The assembly added: "After 11 months of waiting, procrastination, and anticipation regarding the judicial path stuck between the Public Prosecutor Ghassan Oueidat and the investigating judge in the port explosion case Tarek Bitar, Rizkallah surprised us by requesting Oueidat to amend the indictment. This is a surprising and unacceptable action, as he could have requested this since the first week of the lawsuit. Making us wait 11 months for a decision that we, as the families of the martyrs, have eagerly awaited to distinguish the truth in this national and humanitarian case, which we have been suffering from for four years, only to present us with such a request that will further complicate our case with more political and judicial wrangling is denounced and rejected. It confirms that we are not only in a farm of political gangs but also judicial ones, aiming to procrastinate and mislead, reaching the point of obscuring and distorting the truth, which we will never allow to happen."
