Title: Independents Supported by Imran Khan Lead Pakistan Elections

The website of the Election Commission of Pakistan revealed that "the vote counting in the national elections concluded today, Sunday, with independents, most of whom are supported by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, winning 101 out of 264 seats." The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz party, led by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, came in second, securing 75 seats, making it the party with the most parliamentary seats after Khan's supporters ran as independents. The final results were announced more than 60 hours after the voting ended on Thursday, a delay that raised questions about the process. It is noted that Khan is currently serving a prison sentence.
