After 100 Years of Extinction: The First Appearance in Saudi Arabia

The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority in Saudi Arabia announced the revival of the red-necked ostrich, regaining its brilliance after more than 100 years of absence from the northern region of the kingdom. The reserve published a video documenting the successful efforts to localize and protect rare and endangered species, which resulted in the hatching of three red-necked ostrich chicks. This is noted to be the first appearance of the red-necked ostrich in northern Saudi Arabia after its extinction for more than 100 years.
