Lithuanian President Announces Air Defense Coalition for Ukraine

Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, upon arriving in Brussels for a meeting of EU leaders, indicated that "Western countries are in the process of forming an air defense coalition for Ukraine." The Lithuanian president noted that "the goal of this coalition is to provide Ukraine's forces with air defense systems." Gitanas Nausėda stated that "the full details of this coalition have not yet been determined." He added, "An air defense coalition for Ukraine is being established, and its full framework has not been defined yet, but we must follow this path to ensure that Ukraine is protected from air attacks." Lithuania had previously taken the initiative to create an international coalition for mine clearance in Ukraine, which included 20 countries.
