Israel called on United Nations relief agencies on Monday to assist in the evacuation of civilians from war zones in the Gaza Strip before a planned ground incursion into the city of Rafah, which is crowded with Palestinian evacuees. Government spokesman Elon Levy stated in a press briefing: "We urge the UN agencies to cooperate. It cannot be said that it is impossible to do this. Work with us to find a way."
