Lebanese Security Arrests Sisters Selling Fake Gold

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that "information was received by the Tal unit of the Regional Gendarmerie regarding two Syrian women selling fake gold as if it were real." The statement continued: "As a result of the investigations and inquiries conducted by the members of the mentioned unit, they were able to locate the women on Azmi Street in Tripoli. Immediately, a patrol was dispatched to the location, where they managed to arrest them, identified as: L.W. (born in 1998, Syrian nationality) and N.W. (born in 1996, Syrian nationality)." It added: "Upon searching them, a quantity of fake gold and a sum of money was seized. The relevant pieces were deposited for further investigation with them, based on the instruction of the competent judiciary."
