The head of the "Free Patriotic Movement," MP Gebran Bassil, received the ambassadors of the Quintet at the Bayada, in the absence of American Ambassador Lisa Johnson. After the meeting, Egyptian Ambassador Alaa Moussa stated, "We agreed on very important key points, the most prominent of which is the need to expedite the election of a president for the republic," urging to "separate the events in the south from the presidential file," clarifying that "the absence of one of the ambassadors of the Quintet does not change their position."
