Tension in Bekaa: Syrian Refugees Provoking Lebanese Soldier

A significant altercation occurred in the town of Tamnin al-Tahta, in the Baalbek district, between a soldier in the Lebanese army and a number of Syrian refugees. Reports indicate that a group of Syrians provoked the soldier and the local residents with the noise of motorcycles. When the soldier expressed his annoyance, the Syrians called their relatives and friends, escalating the provocation. The conflict resulted in the injury of 7 Syrians, who were subsequently transported to Riyaq Hospital for treatment. The military police immediately began investigating the incident.
