The Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri, announced that the presidential file will be activated after the holidays. In a conversation with reporters, Berri stated, "The meeting with the President of Cyprus was positive, and there are no grievances from Cyprus towards Lebanon, but rather fruitful cooperation." Additionally, due to the current circumstances, Berri announced his apology for not receiving congratulations for Eid al-Fitr, wishing Lebanese people in general and Muslims in particular a blessed Eid. Berri said, "Holidays are not complete until this crisis is lifted from the nation and from Palestine." He added, "On Eid al-Fitr, I extend a salute of pride to the Lebanese and Palestinian resistors and the martyrs for their great sacrifices. To their families, I express my gratitude for their patience. For the steadfast among our people in the border villages and towns with occupied Palestine, and for the displaced among them, the holiday is in returning as dignified and generous to the land they have shown unparalleled loyalty to, and by working with all the sincere individuals in Lebanon, regardless of their political and spiritual orientations, with genuine intentions to create solutions for the crises threatening our country, without which any holiday holds no value!"
