Yesterday, two security officials reported that two Kuwaiti citizens were abducted during a fishing trip in a desert area in Iraq last Sunday, prompting security forces to launch an extensive search operation for them, according to Reuters. A senior police officer reported that the kidnapping occurred in a desert area between Anbar and Salah al-Din Governorates, and the initial investigations indicated that one of the fishermen's vehicles was attacked by armed men, leading to the loss of contact with the two Kuwaitis.
