Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid Bukhari, during his meeting with the Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Abdul-Latif Deryan, affirmed his country's commitment to the stability of Lebanon and support for enhancing unity and rapprochement among the Lebanese. He emphasized the importance of the efforts made by the Quintet Committee to assist Lebanon, hoping that these efforts will lead to quick solutions through dialogue with everyone.

For his part, Deryan confirmed the necessity of cooperating with the Quintet Committee, which provides numerous constructive proposals and ideas that help in reaching solutions. He called on political forces to respond to the initiatives of the Quintet Committee, which has credibility in engaging with political forces to find satisfactory outlets for everyone, stating that any initiative proposed is one he is among its primary supporters due to its importance for Lebanon and the Lebanese.

He stressed that "reform begins with the election of a president for the republic and the formation of a strong government; otherwise, Lebanon will remain in chaos. If the Lebanese do not help themselves and cooperate with their brothers and friends, we will continue in a vicious cycle, which is a waste of time and will lead the country further into collapse and fragmentation."
