Lionel Messi's market value as a player for the American team "Inter Miami" has seen a significant decline recently, following a series of injuries that have plagued him this season. The 36-year-old player participated in the first three matches of the current season, during which he managed to score three goals, but he missed the next three matches due to injury. According to a report published by "Transfermarkt," a site specializing in player market values, Messi's market value was 35 million euros last November, but it has now decreased to 30 million euros.
Dominic Becker, the data manager for North America at the site, stated, "Messi remains the star of Major League Soccer, and despite his age, he is still one of the best football players on the planet." He continued, "Age is an important factor for Messi; he has increasingly suffered from injuries, and it has been impossible to avoid a reduction in his market value."
In his recent appearance on the "Big Time" podcast, Messi revealed his thoughts on retiring from football in the near future, saying, "When I feel the time has come to take that step, I will do so without thinking about age, and if I feel fine, I will always try to continue competing because that is what I love and what I am good at."
