The Traffic Control Room reported via the "X" platform that communication had been established with the relevant maintenance teams to address water accumulation on the Choueifat road near the Gandour factory and on the Khaldeh highway - eastern lane. The Khaldeh highway experienced severe traffic congestion due to rainwater accumulation, while trapped motorists appealed to the authorities to clear the road and assist them.
Heavy rain also flooded the "Airport" tunnel. The Traffic Control Room reported a water accumulation on the Jounieh highway eastern lane, after the Fouad Chehab bridge, indicating that traffic was extremely congested in the area and that authorities were contacted for a solution.
Additionally, the Traffic Control Room informed about a truck sliding on the road after the Salim Salam tunnel heading towards the commercial center in Beirut, resulting in heavy traffic in that area.
In light of the flood damage in Miniyeh, MP Ahmad Khair stated in a release that he contacted the Head of the Miniyeh Municipal Union, Khaled Al-Duheibi, and the mayors of Markabta, Bassam Atiyah, Deputy Mayor of Bahnin, Haj Mohammad Ghamrawi, and the Mayor of Al-Yahoudiyeh, Amer Al-Awiq, as well as the acting mayor of Miniyeh - Nabi Yusha Diyala, to follow up on the damages caused by the floods and to mitigate the damages as much as possible within available resources. He noted that the teams from the union and municipalities have promptly started working despite the difficult weather conditions.
