The Finnish police announced today, Tuesday, that there are casualties due to a shooting at a school and confirmed the arrest of a suspect. The police stated in a release that several individuals were injured in the shooting at Viertola Elementary School located in Vantaa, a suburb of the capital Helsinki, which has approximately 800 students from grades one to nine. The incident occurred around 9:00 AM local time. The police urged people nearby to stay indoors and confirmed that the suspect was apprehended shortly thereafter.
