The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received the Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati during the Arab Summit held in Algeria. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister and Emigrants Abdullah Bou Habib, Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saud bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, and Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari.
During the meeting, the Emir of Qatar expressed his hope that Lebanon would overcome its current difficulties and elect a new president as soon as possible. He mentioned that Qatar wishes to benefit from Lebanese talents and has announced its need to employ one hundred thousand Lebanese in all sectors, while currently, there are only about thirty thousand Lebanese in Qatar.
