Saudi Foreign Minister Emphasizes the Importance of Ceasing Hostilities in Sudan

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan conducted phone calls with both Sudan's Sovereign Council President Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and Rapid Support Forces leader Mohamed Hamdan Daglo "Hemedti." During the calls, bin Farhan discussed the latest developments in Sudan and their repercussions on the Sudanese people, as stated in a release from the Saudi Foreign Ministry. He emphasized the importance of working to "protect Sudan and its people from further destruction and the worsening of the difficult humanitarian situation," and the "necessity of prioritizing the interests of the Sudanese people, stopping the fighting to protect state institutions, and leading Sudan to safety."
