Galant Warns of Retaliatory Attacks in the West Bank

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant warned today, Saturday, about the potential for retaliatory attacks following the discovery of an Israeli settler found dead near the village of al-Mughayer in the occupied West Bank. Galant stated via his account on "X" that "retaliatory actions will make it difficult for our fighters to carry out their mission; no one should take the law into their own hands, let the security forces operate swiftly in tracking down the terrorists." The Israeli army had announced the discovery of the body of 14-year-old Benjamin Achimeir and noted in a statement that "the investigation into the incident is still ongoing, and troops are continuing to pursue those suspected of carrying out the operation." Settlers claimed that one of them had been kidnapped around the village of al-Mughayer, after which hundreds of them, under the protection of the Israeli army, launched an attack on the village, which has been subjected to strict military measures since October 7.
