The Sudanese army announced today, Saturday, that "air defense systems managed to shoot down 3 suicide drones near Meroe Airport in the northern part of the country." The Sudanese army stated in a report: "The command of the 19th Infantry Division in Meroe revealed that enemy forces targeted Meroe Airport at 4:00 AM on Saturday, April 27, with 3 suicide drones. Ground defenses successfully intercepted and shot them down without any casualties or damage to equipment." The statement added: "The division reassured all citizens in the Meroe locality that the armed forces are fully prepared and on high alert to address any emergencies or foreign objects in the airspace of the Meroe locality and the northern state in general."
