Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu revealed on Tuesday that the Ukrainian armed forces have executed up to 263 attacks on Russian positions since June 4th, all of which he stated have been repelled. Shoigu noted, "Ukrainian forces continue to attempt offensive operations in the South Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk directions." He emphasized that the Kyiv regime is utilizing a significant number of Western weapons and elite formations trained by NATO specialists. The Russian defense minister highlighted that "thanks to the competent and honest actions of our units," Ukrainian forces have been unable to achieve their goals.
Furthermore, Shoigu mentioned that the Ukrainian military command plans to strike Russian territory, including Crimea, with American "HIMARS" and British "Storm Shadow" missiles. He warned that the use of these missiles outside the special operation zone would indicate full involvement of the United States and Britain in the conflict and would lead to immediate strikes on decision-making centers in Ukraine.
Additionally, Shoigu had called on the military-industrial complex to increase the production of tanks and heavy flamethrower systems to meet the objectives of the military operation in Ukraine. He stressed the necessity of strictly adhering to the timeline for implementing the Ministry of Defense's requirements and meeting the needs of Russian forces during his visit to the military and defense industries institution in the Omsk region. Shoigu commended what he considered improvements in military production capabilities and the quality of Russian weapons. He paid special attention to enhancing the security of crews and armored vehicles during their preparation for shipment to the special operation area.
