The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Nabih Berri, warned through the newspaper "Al-Joumhouria" about Israel's attempts to expand the war, considering the current circumstances favorable for it due to the available American and international support in its genocide campaign against the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the need to avoid falling into Israel's traps and dragging Lebanon into a war according to its timing. He pointed out that these attempts are manifested in the expansion of the scope of its attacks against Lebanon, which are now reaching areas distant from the border, in addition to its deliberate targeting of civilians, as well as threats from enemy officers and proposals aimed at promoting certain arrangements in the border region that serve Israel's interests (such as relocating Hezbollah to the north of the Litani River), which are rejected by Lebanon. He assured all envoy, including Hochstein and others, of his commitment to Resolution 1701 and the necessity of obligating Israel to implement it.
