Arrest of Drug Dealer and His Clients in Sour

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces confirmed that "as part of the ongoing monitoring carried out by the specialized units in the Internal Security Forces to pursue those involved in drug trafficking and promotion in various Lebanese areas and to arrest them, the Information Branch was able to track the activities of a drug dealer in the Sour area and its surroundings." It continued in a statement: "Following this, the specialized units in the branch began their field and investigative procedures, and as a result of surveys and investigations, they were able to identify his identity, named: N. K. (born in 2006, Syrian)."

It added, "On 5-2-2024, after careful surveillance, one of the branch's patrols executed a raid on his residence in the Sour neighborhood and arrested him inside. Upon searching him and the house, a large quantity of hashish was seized, packaged inside 49 nylon bags and prepared for promotion, as well as two hashish cigarettes. Concurrently, patrols from the branch arrested two of his clients in the Sour area while they were attempting to steal a motorcycle from the neighborhood, identified as: M. H. (born in 2004, Syrian) and M. J. (born in 2006, Syrian). Upon searching them, the first was found in possession of a quantity of hashish."

It concluded, "During the investigation, N. K. admitted to the charges against him regarding the promotion of drugs to several clients in the Sour area and its surroundings, and the others admitted to drug use. Legal procedures were taken against them, and they were referred along with the seized items to the concerned authority based on judicial directives."
