More than 500 volunteers of 12 nationalities are participating in the organization of the Asian Athletics Championship "Dubai 2024." The events of the championship will be held at the "Dubai Police Officers' Club" from April 24 to 27, under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of the National Olympic Committee.
Mohammed Al Balooshi, one of the volunteer leaders in the Takatof program affiliated with the Emirates Foundation, confirmed that developing and enhancing the capabilities of youth in voluntary work is one of the most important pillars to encourage them to engage in volunteer work and provide suitable opportunities for them throughout the country.
Al Balooshi said, "The volunteers possess outstanding experience in various events, and they were selected with great care, distributed across many departments in the organizing committees at the levels of guest services, teams, transportation, crowd management, competition management, media, and protocol, in addition to the special events for the opening and closing ceremonies of the championship."
He added, "I am responsible for the protocol lead, and all the volunteers have shown a strong desire to work around the clock. The Takatof volunteer program covers all events across the country, and thanks to the vision of our wise leadership, the culture of volunteering represents a fundamental component of the Emirati identity, reflecting the bright image of the country in the events it hosts and providing all the requirements that enhance its global leadership in organizing them."
