The Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker government, Abbas Al-Haj Hassan, who is also the Executive Secretary of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, will travel to Syria accompanied by the organization's Director-General, Ibrahim Al-Dakhiri. They will meet with the Syrian Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad Hassan Qatna, and several officials, including the Director-General of the Arab Center for Studies of Drylands and Desertification (ACSAD), Nasr Al-Din Al-Ubaid, to discuss the mechanisms of Arab-Arab joint action and review the projects implemented by the organization in Lebanon and Syria in partnership with ACSAD. They will also discuss the recent quadrilateral meeting held between Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Iraq, in preparation for an upcoming summit aimed at facilitating the flow of goods and agricultural products between the four countries, with the intention of including other Arab states.
