Dutch researcher Frank Hoogerbeets returned to tweeting about celestial alignments that may lead to earthquakes on Earth. In his latest tweet, he specifically mentioned Iran, stating that "several moderate tremors in Western Iran were recorded this morning (Friday). A stronger shake is possible." He attached a map that he had published (on the account of the research body he heads, SSGEOS) on April 1, showing several pink markers and a straight line connecting them.
The United States Geological Survey recorded three earthquakes on Friday morning in various areas of Iran, ranging from 4.2 to 4.6 on the Richter scale. Prior to today's tweet, Hoogerbeets made another post on his and his research group's account, indicating that "a series of planetary conjunctions on April 3 could lead to increased seismic activity, potentially reaching magnitudes of 6 to 7 between April 4 and April 5."
He added that "a combination of planetary conjunctions and the moon between April 5 and April 7 could result in stronger tremors and more earthquakes overall throughout this week." Hoogerbeets heads the Solar System Geometry Survey (SSGEOS), a research organization focused on monitoring the geometry emerging from celestial bodies and its relationship with seismic activity on Earth.
