Hours after his burial in Moscow, attended by thousands of supporters who risked potential arrest, Yulia, the late Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny's wife, shared an emotional video on her X account. The video captured some of their happiest moments together. In some clips, the fierce opponent of the Kremlin is seen drawing hearts for his wife from behind a glass pane, expressing his love for her.
Yulia wrote in the video caption, "Thank you for 26 years of absolute happiness, love, and support, for trying to make me laugh even from prison." She expressed her uncertainty about how she would live and continue her life without him. She concluded with the words, "We will meet again one day. I love you forever. Rest in peace." Their daughter Dasha also posted on Instagram, "Dad, you were always and will forever be my role model and my hero."
This followed the burial ceremonies for the staunch Kremlin opponent yesterday in the capital, Moscow, amid chants from his supporters, who attended in large numbers carrying flowers and shouting, "No to war!", "We will not forget you!", and "We will not forgive," with some crying.
