Several Lebanese universities witnessed a series of protests today, Tuesday, with hundreds of students participating, particularly at the American University of Beirut, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemnation of what Gaza and its residents are enduring. The protests are part of a student movement that began in the United States more than ten days ago and has expanded to several other countries. They were called for by student councils and student groups under the slogan "In support of the heroic resilience of the people of Gaza."
Hundreds of students protested in Lebanon at several universities, notably the American University in Beirut, in solidarity with our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This movement began in the United States over ten days ago and then expanded to several Western and Arab countries.
Students also staged sit-ins at both the American University and the Lebanese American University in Beirut, in addition to two branches of the Arab University of Beirut in Beirut and Tripoli. Students raised Palestinian flags and chanted slogans supporting the Palestinians, demanding an end to the Israeli war on Gaza.
