The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division, issued a statement on Monday, stating: "Recently, there has been an increase in violations of hunting laws by unknown individuals in several towns in Chouf, particularly at night. On November 16, 2023, as a result of monitoring efforts to curb this phenomenon, a patrol from the Mazra'at al-Dahr police station arrested three individuals in the Bekayfa area. They are:

- M.G. (born in 1997, Lebanese)

- J.R. (born in 1987, Lebanese)

- A.Sh. (born in 1999, Lebanese)

The suspects were caught red-handed, in possession of hunting rifles and 275 rounds of 12mm ammunition, along with hunting bags, four flashlights, electrical connections, a generator, a night vision device, a laser, and a bird attracting machine. Additionally, eight game birds of the fattened species were seized."

It was confirmed that "legal procedures were carried out against them, and the weapons and hunting tools were handed over to the competent judiciary, as per their directions." The statement highlighted that citizens were disturbed by nighttime gunfire from hunting weapons and the use of bird attracting devices, leading to the arrests made by the Mazra'at al-Dahr police station.
