Jordan's Foreign Ministry Condemns Attack on Aid Convoys to Gaza

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry condemned today, Wednesday, the attack by Israeli settlers on two Jordanian aid convoys while en route to the Gaza Strip. The ministry's spokesperson, Sufyan al-Qudah, stated in a statement that the convoys were carrying food and humanitarian assistance to the region, with one expected to enter through the Kerem Shalom crossing and the other through the Erez crossing.

The Jordanian Foreign Ministry held the "occupying forces responsible for the failure of aid reaching the people of the sector, as the protection of these convoys is the responsibility of the forces that are supposed to legally commit to protecting the aid." Al-Qudah urged Jordanians and the international community to take a stand condemning the attack and to compel Israel to respect its legal obligations.
