Explosions Near Ship West of Hodeidah, Yemen

The British Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) announced today, Tuesday, that it received a report about an incident involving a ship approximately 60 nautical miles from the port of Hodeidah, Yemen. It added that an explosion was heard and rockets were seen about four nautical miles from the site. The agency stated that the ship and its crew are safe.

UKMTO noted that a vessel sailing off the coast of Yemen reported today witnessing two explosions in the Red Sea shortly after observing two drones. The agency stated that the explosions occurred about five miles from the ship at a location in the Red Sea approximately 50 nautical miles from the Hodeidah port on Yemen's western coast. It indicated that the ship is in contact with the coalition forces, and reports have confirmed the safety of the ship and its crew. It is said that the vessel is continuing its journey. The identity of the ship, its cargo details, destination, or departure location has not been disclosed.
