The Bekaa Governor, Judge Kamal Abu Joude, has been monitoring the issue of the spread of "jaundice" or known as "safira" in the town of Kamid El Loz in West Bekaa, in coordination with the Commander of the Bekaa Regional Forces, Brigadier General Nadim Abdel Maseeh, the West Bekaa District Director Wassam Nasbeh, and the Head of the Health Department in Bekaa, Dr. Lara Barak. This outbreak has led to the closure of several schools in the town. Abu Joude confirmed that "all necessary measures related to this issue have been taken, and the spread of the disease has been contained thanks to swift intervention and through implementing serious steps that prevented its outbreak. Moreover, the required supplies, medications, and necessary equipment have been provided to limit its spread."
