They claimed that the woman recounted her sorrow during a celebration in front of a large crowd, saying, "He told me he loves someone more than you, my mother... I was saddened and asked him who? He replied: Egypt."
However, the truth is entirely different. The grieving mother is actually the mother of officer Mahmoud Nagy Ahmed Al-Awad, who passed away in 2018 in Sinai, where Egyptian forces were engaged in confrontations with extremist groups. Searching for the clip led to a longer version that was aired by Egyptian media in 2018. The woman cried deeply when she was present at the ceremony honoring her late son.
